the sweetest song
over the weekend one of my zebra finch birdies got really sick...she was not doing good at all. i was trying not to think about what would happen if she didn't get better quickly... they are oh so fragile and tiny! but, with great advice and a steady hand, i gave her a dose of antibiotics and put her to bed in a nice cozy warm bed. when i awoke in the morning, i could hear her little song and not long after that she was up and about! it just wasn't her time to go... we love you DOVE.

my dream of being a textile designer is renewed constantly by the lovely lotta jansdotter. lotta started her studio in san francisco back in 2002 and then headed to brooklyn a few years later... she since has published three amazing books and endless wonderful fabrics. i love how she hangs on to her scandinavian roots in such a modern way...

the year of the OX is one which success will escape without a sustained, mindful effort. the sort of problems that are encountered in the year of the Ox tend to be home front problems that seem to be never ending. the year of the Ox needs discipline and it is not the time for unruly behavior or taking short cuts. in this year success is achieved solely through hard work.
